Cynthia (Cindy) L. Rynne has over 20 years of experience in the actuarial field providing employers, Boards of Trustees and pension committees with actuarial, pension, group benefits, and administrative solutions. Cindy specializes in the area of advising private and public sector employers and labour unions on issues relative to financial reporting, risk management, pension plan design, sustainability, and benefit security for members.

At PBI, Cindy manages assignments involving plan design, funding policy, governance, reporting and administration. Along with her consulting responsibilities, she manages PBI’s Toronto office and is responsible for the development of new client relationships in Ontario and Eastern Canada.

Prior to joining PBI, Cindy worked as a Senior Consulting Actuary with a major North American actuarial firm where she was account executive to a wide variety of clients. Her previous responsibilities also included managing the firm’s Toronto Retirement Practice, as well as leading the client strategy and growth function in Canada.

Cindy holds a Bachelor of Mathematics Honours Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Waterloo and is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Society of Actuaries.

Cindy is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. She is an experienced public speaker on pension related matters.
